Bit constipated?

sardines for when your dog is a bit constipated
Oily fish can help when your dog is a bit constipated

Has yesterday’s delicious, definitely-worth-it, bone left your dog a little bit constipated?

Here’s a quick tip.  Add a couple of canned sardines to the next meal. It’s a naturally oily fish and can help lubricate the digestive tract.

Sardines are also great sources of lean protein, omega 3 fatty acids, selenium, vitamin D, CoQ10, amino acids, calcium, and iron.  They’re good for the joints, for the skin and coat, and for energy production.  They’re frequently recommended as an adjunct to treatment for arthritis and cancer.

Use sardines canned in water.  Oil, salt, and flavours can make a dog ill.  Of course, if there are other causes of constipation, or it continues, please consult your vet.
